Car Hire Serbia and Montenegro

Serbia-Montenegro was a State in South-Eastern Europe, which consisted of the States Serbia and Montenegro until 2006. Today, both are separate, but are still closely linked. While Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, the political centre of Montenegro is Podgorica. Nearly 11 million people live in both countries to about 116,000 square metres. Major cities are also Novi Sad and NIS.

The two countries in the heart of the Balkans are a melting pot of different cultures, religions and languages. In Serbia there are beautiful Orthodox monasteries with wonderful, some mysterious Ikonenmalereien. A striking example is the monastery of Vojlovicia from the fifteenth century in the South Banat. Here, the oldest traces of settlement of the country is found at the Neolithic site of Starcevo. The region, which is dominated mainly by the river of Danube, extremely appealing is scenic and many other goals such as Kovacica, the Centre of naive art in Serbia, are ideal to reach with a rental car.

The small Montenegro especially impresses with its extremely beautiful Adriatic coastline. From about 1900 meters the dinarische mountain system falls here steeply into the fjord-like Bay of Kotor down. A sight that it in no way should miss. Also the deepest Gorge in Europe, the Tara gorge with a depth of more than 1000 meters, is located in the North of the small Balkan State.

One of the most fascinating cities in Europe is certainly also the Belgrade overflowing from lust for life. Alone the multifaceted party mile along the Sava River, which has to offer something for everyone and is housed on houseboats, may be almost unique.
